Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA)

Health Science IV

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program has no prerequisite courses. Students who wish to earn CNA certification must be at least 16 years of age and earn a qualifying score on the Compass Placement Test.

American Welding Society (AWS)

Welding Technology I & II

The Certified Welder program is a performance-based program with no prerequisite courses or certifications required. Final certification will provide "transferrable" credentials that you may take with you wherever you go.

Agriculture Skills & Competencies Certificate

The Kansas Agriculture Skills & Competencies Certificate documents skills and competencies gained by student participation in agriculture education. The program is an opportunity to quantify and qualify skills gained through agriculture education programs. KDA is pleased to sponsor the certificate program for Kansas FFA members. The certificate has been endorsed by the Office of the Governor, the Department of Labor and the Kansas agriculture community, including; Kansas FFA Association, Kansas Farm Bureau, Kansas Grain & Feed Association, Kansas Livestock Association and more.

ServSafe Food Protection Manager

Culinary Essentials, Culinary Arts I

Students can earn the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP).The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience. Managers learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety. All content and materials are based on actual job tasks identified by foodservice industry experts.

National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) 

Precision Machining & CNC Fundamentals I & II

The national NIMS standards are modular, thus permitting credentials based on specific metalworking processes and levels of competency.  Overall, there are 52 NIMS credentials.  The credentials enable the employer to assess candidates in those skills most applicable to the firm's needs and enable training institutions to measure program performance tailored to industry's needs.



Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)


Information, skills and attitudes necessary for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of Kansas and National Registry of EMT. Course is taught by HCC instructors and students receive 9 hours of college tuition FREE of charge!  Students must purchase their own textbooks and pay student fees.
