Community Involvement
Many of our Career and Technical Education student organizations perform community service activities throughout the school year. If you would like help with a community service project, please contact the CTE office or the student organization advisory. Here are just a few examples of community involvement:
FCCLA
September - Students in the FCCLA chapter made chili for the annual Chili Feed that benefitted United Way.
BPA
November - Chapter members will host a PowderPuff football game where admission includes canned good. The donations are given to Agape Food Pantry.
HOSA
December - HOSA sponsors the Pennies for Patients fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. Competition is encouraged between seminar classes and the winning class receives a free pizza party.
FFA
April - Members hold an annual plant sale that is advertised throughout the community. Students in the Plant Science pathway grow all the plants in the school greenhouse and sell to district patrons. Some plants are donated to local retirement communities.
