Join us for the 14th Leprechaun Run at Dyck Arboretum of the Plains, 177 W. Hickory in Hesston. The 2-mile and 10K courses are flat and the event will be chip-timed by Timer Guys. The community is encouraged to wear green and come out to Dyck Arboretum for this unique and fun event!

Railer Football is hosting its annual Mulch Madness 2026 fundraiser. Mulch is available for purchase in five varieties: black, red, brown (Scott’s 1.5 cubic foot bags) and cypress and cedar (Naturescape 2.0 cubic foot bags). All mulch costs $8 per bag. Orders must be prepaid by March 15, 2026. Delivery will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Football players will deliver the mulch, and for an optional suggested donation of $2–$4 per bag (collected at delivery), they will also spread the mulch for customers. Orders and payments can be made by scanning the QR code on the flyer or by completing an order form. Those who do not need mulch but still wish to support Railer Football may make a donation instead.

Bethel College is hosting a Career Success Workshop for high school age teens (14-18 years old) at Newton Public Library. Bethel College instructors will lead themed workshops on career services topics and financial literacy to help prepare teens for professional and personal success. The workshops will take place Thursday (9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th) in April from 4-5 PM in the Intrust room. Please register for each workshop, as spots are limited.

Ethical Foraging:
NEVER eat anything unless you are 100% sure it is safe. When in doubt, take photos and use an image search to help. Take no more than 20% of what is available to ensure everyone is able to enjoy the harvest.
