Join Hesston College for Larktoberfest, a free, family-friendly evening of fall fun at Bess Mullet Field! The community is invited to campus on Friday, October 30, from 4 to 8 p.m., for activities for all ages, including trunk-or-treat, a bounce house, face painting, a costume contest, music, games and more. Admission and activities are free, with food truck items available for purchase. While you’re here, cheer on the Larks! Hesston College softball takes on Fort Hays Tech Northwest with the first pitch at 5 p.m. Bring your family, invite your friends and enjoy a fun fall evening with the Hesston College and greater Hesston community.

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to NPL's "Dreamy Drafts," a space where teens can practice creative writing and get feedback on their writing! 6PM Tuesday, Oct. 20

Join us for Dash Robots. STEM with coding, programming, and robotics! We will learn and work with programming and coding to complete various courses and tasks with Dash. Dash is a quirky little robot with many surprising talents. We will have several Dash Robots along with tablets for youth to work in pairs to compete against other teams to complete challenges. Presented at the Newton Public Library in partnership with K-State Extension. 

Come join RaileRobotics as we celebrate our 25th year as a robotics team. We are now the oldest, continuous running FIRST robotics team in Kansas and Missouri. Join us on Saturday November 21 from 12:30-3:00pm at Ravenscroft Gym for a celebration scrimmage and see what robotics is all about! This is a free event! Robotics competitions are a full sports event with cheering, music, and the excitement of watching a team race for points! Our RaileRobotics robots are the size of push lawnmowers and weigh in around 120 pounds. The two Newton robots will be competing against teams from around the area across the gym floor in a 1 verses 1 competition to score the most points. Come ready to learn the chants and cheers and enjoy the excitement of the celebration! We will have an alumni recognition at 2pm during the event to celebrate 25 years of students coming through the robotics program. We're doing a teen spin on a classic idea - Teen Show & Tell. Once USD 373 starts, the Teen Librarian will be hosting Teen Show & Tell Friday for 10–18-year old's every Friday from 3:30 - 5PM. This is a chance for teens with like-minded interests to gather and share! If you have a collection or project you want to share, please feel welcome to bring it! Snacks will be provided. PG movies on related topics may be shown.

Come hang out at NPL's Dreamy Drafts, a monthly writing club for ages 13–18! Bring anything you're working on (or nothing at all). Share your writing if you want, try creative prompts, swap ideas, discover new writing styles, and get feedback from other teens in a relaxed, supportive space. Whether you're polishing a finished piece, scribbling your first draft, or just have an idea you can't stop thinking about, you'll fit right in. No experience required—just bring your imagination. We'll write, snack, laugh, and make new friends who love creating as much as you do. Meets: Third Tuesday of every month starting September 15th , 6:00–7:00 PM
